Welcome to our dedicated support program, where we prioritize the unique needs of students with lived experiences in foster care and justice systems, those with incarcerated parents, parenting individuals, and those facing significant hardships.

We believe in the inherent resiliency of every individual and strive to empower students to harness this strength as an asset in their academic journey. Our approach is rooted in the principles of Self-Determination Theory, fostering an environment that promotes autonomy, competence, and relatedness.

Recognizing the impact of trauma, we have implemented trauma-informed processes that emphasize safety, trust, collaboration, and choice.

Our team is committed to cultivating empathy and compassion and creating a supportive community that understands and responds to the diverse challenges these students may encounter.

At UNO, we are not just providing education; we are building a foundation for success, acknowledging and uplifting the unique strengths and experiences that each student brings to the table.
