Internal Funding

Jim & Shirley Young Scholars 

Eligibility

  • Financial need
  • Non-Pell Eligible
  • First-Generation
  • Graduate of Omaha metro high school

Amount offered: Varies depending on cost of expenses covered

Student Renewal: Funds will pay for completion of first bachelor's degree or up to 150 credit hours, whichever comes first

Phillip Schrager Scholarship 

Eligibility:

  • Financial need
  • Graduate of Nebraska high school
  • Initially awarded to incoming first-year students
  • Preference given to leadership participation
  • Preference given to disadvantaged students

Amount offered: Varies depending on $50,000 split between cohort per year

Student Renewal: Renewable for additional 3 years (4 years total)

Edward A. Pechar Scholarship 

Eligibility:

  • Financial need
  • Graduate of Nebraska high school
  • Initially awarded to incoming first-year students
  • Preference given to leadership participation
  • Preference given to disadvantaged students
Amount offered: 30 credit hours per academic year (including summer)

Student Renewal: Renewable for additional 4 consecutive years (5 years total) or up to 132 credit hours, whichever comes first

G. Robert Muchemore Scholarship 

Eligibility:

  • Financial need
  • Graduate of a Nebraska high school
  • Minimum "B" average in high school
Amount offered: $7,000 per year

Student Renewal: Renewable for additional 3 years (4 years total)

MetroMavs 

Eligibility:

Transfer student from Metropolitan Community College who earned MetroMav Scholarship at MCC


Amount offered: Up to $1,458 fall and spring per semester
