  5. ACDC Online Résumé/Cover Letter Review

The ACDC Résumé Review Tool is a convenient online resource that allows UNO students, staff, and alumni to receive feedback on their resume/cover letter without needing to physically visit our office.

Résumé/Cover Letter Review Tool

How it Works

ACDC's Online Résumé Review Tool allows UNO students, staff, and alumni to upload a copy of their résumé to have reviewed by an ACDC professional.

Simply click the link below, answer some basic questions and then upload your résumé/cover letter. To ensure quality feedback, ACDC asks for 3-5 business days to process and return your résumé/cover letter.

Résumé/cover letters will be returned via email to the address provided in the application.

Faculty/Staff: If you are planning to assign an ACDC résumé review for your class, please contact Sam Zeitner at szeitner@unomaha.edu or 402.554.3282 ahead of time to ensure we can handle the increased traffic.

FAQ | Résumé Review Tool

How do I upload my résumé?
Click the link above, fill out the demographic information and attach your document at the end.

What type of file can I upload?
ACDC can only accept Word documents and PDFs.

When should I expect my feedback?
ACDC asks for 3-5 business days to ensure quality feedback.  Please note, this service is not available during times the university is closed (Winter Break, snow days, etc.). Any items uploaded during a time UNO is closed will be reviewed when the university reopens.

How will I receive my feedback on my résumé/cover letter?
An ACDC staff member will email you back your résumé/cover letter to your designated email. All feedback will be provided as comments on the document. You are responsible for making edits.

Is there a limit to how many times I can use the résumé tool?
Nope! You can upload your resume/cover letter as many times as you would like.

If I upload my résumé over the weekend, will I get feedback by Monday?
No, you will not.  If a résumé/cover letter is submitted late Friday or over the weekend, an ACDC staff member will not be able to begin the review process till Monday. This would mean you would receive feedback 3-5 business days from that Monday.

I need immediate feedback; can you make an exception to the 3-5 day rule?
No. If you need immediate or more timely feedback on your résumé please use our walk-in times or schedule an appointment via Handshake.

When are résumé review walk-ins?
Résumé review walk-ins are available in 113 Milo Bail Student Center (Student Involvement), check our website for walk-in hours.
