Reese Stowe

Reese currently works as a CNA at Nebraska Medicine on the Acute Medical-Surgical Unit. Building on her experience as a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern and team lead—where she led a team of three to help Refugee Women Rising optimize internal decision-making—Reese has expanded her technical and research background. She completed the SHARPS Training program, gaining hands-on laboratory experience with core molecular biology and cellular research techniques. Additionally, she participated in a coding bootcamp designed specifically for physicians and healthcare researchers, where she learned to use R for data analysis and visualization and presented a research poster on high-risk pregnancy risk factors. At UNO, she is actively involved in Chi Omega's Zeta Delta chapter and works in local operations for Blueprints for Pangaea to help reallocate unused medical supplies to communities in need. Through her Scott Scholars Community Action Project (CAP), she and her team are working with Collective for Hope to address operational challenges and improve internal processes. Following graduation, Reese plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician.
