Saral is deeply involved in the Nepalese community in Omaha and has worked on public health initiatives aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm. Fluent in Nepali and Spanish, Saral is also a certified EMT with national and state licensure and has completed extensive physician shadowing in family medicine, emergency medicine, and hospitalist care, gaining over 200 hours of clinical exposure across Nebraska clinics and hospitals. In 2025, he won UNO’s Pitch4Progress competition for his minority health screening project and received a microgrant to help fund its implementation in the community. He has also contributed to public health writing through newsletter publications and volunteered with numerous local and international organizations supporting youth, families, and underserved populations. In addition to his academic pursuits, Saral earned his second-degree black belt in traditional Korean Martial Arts. Saral plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician.
