Saral participated in UNMC's Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), conducting research in the Department of Internal Medicine after completing the Scott Scholars Hands-on Research and Practical Skills (SHARPS) program. A certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Saral has also gained extensive clinical exposure through physician shadowing across Nebraska. During the 2025-2026 academic year, he earned first place in UNO's Pitch4Progress competition for a community health screening initiative, securing a microgrant to support its implementation. Currently, he works as a research assistant in Dr. Svechkarev's lab  and in the Biomechanics Aquatic Treadmill Gait Lab at UNO. Fluent in Nepali and Spanish, Saral plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician dedicated to improving community health.
