Additional Information
This past summer, Rachel volunteered as a research assistant in Dr. Mabruka Alfaidi’s lab at UNMC, where she supported lab operations through organizational tasks and hands-on scientific work, including genotyping and tissue sectioning. On campus, she’s involved with the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) and the Pre-Health Professionals Club. After graduation, Rachel plans to attend medical school to continue pursuing her passion for healthcare and research.
