Rachel Ma

Rachel worked as a patient safety assistant at Nebraska Medicine this summer, while also earning her phlebotomy certification. Previously, she volunteered as a research assistant in Dr. Mabruka Alfaidi's laboratory at UNMC, where she supported biomedical research through genotyping, tissue sectioning, and other laboratory techniques. At UNO, Rachel is a University Orchestra section leader and is actively involved in the Pre-Health Professionals Club and the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS). She plans to attend medical school, combining her interests in patient care and biomedical research.
