As a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern this past summer, Katie collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to create user-centered solutions aimed at improving teen retention for the nonprofit organization Completely KIDS. She conducted research and testing to evaluate design concepts, gathered feedback to guide future events and outreach efforts, and designed communication materials. After graduation, Katie plans to pursue an MD/PhD program, with a strong interest in genetic therapies and CRISPR technology.
