Attila works as an undergraduate intern in Dr. Park’s Vascular & Metabolic Phenotyping Lab at UNO, where he conducts tests on mitochondrial respiration. His current research focuses on developing improved methodologies to determine tissue viability following biopsies. In addition to his lab work, Attila assists with community fitness testing, measuring health metrics such as blood pressure, body fat percentage, and resting energy expenditure. Previously, Attila participated in the Scott Scholars Design Studio Internship where he collaborated with the UNMC Emergency Room to enhance patient experience and contributed to the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) app aimed at reducing patient anxiety in waiting rooms. He possesses foundational wet lab skills and experience operating a metabolic cart. Attila is on the pre-medical track with aspirations to enter a surgical field.
