Ryland worked as a technology intern with the Nebraska Defense Research Corporation, gaining hands-on experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives. Previously, as a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern, he served as Scrum Master for a team of five developers that partnered with Nebraska Medicine's Emergency Department to design and build a mobile application that enhances the emergency room experience for patients. Ryland also completed UNO's Global Career Accelerator, earning industry-recognized professional training through a for-credit program focused on digital skills and workforce readiness. At UNO, he is a member of the computer science club, NULLify. Following graduation, Ryland plans to pursue a career in cybersecurity.
