As an undergraduate researcher in UNO's Biomechanics Research Building, Maxim gained hands-on experience studying human movement and biomechanics. Previously, he was a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern, partnering with the Omaha Community Playhouse to develop innovative solutions that enhanced community engagement through the design thinking process. Maxim also began working part-time as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and volunteered and shadowed physicians at Nebraska Medicine. Following graduation, he plans to attend medical school and pursue a career as an emergency medicine physician.
