Kate recently volunteered with the Institute for Field Research Expedition (IFRE) at a women's health clinic in Nairobi, Kenya, where she supported maternal and sexual health initiatives while working alongside local healthcare professionals in underserved communities. She also earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and works as a CNA with CHI Health in Omaha. At UNO, Kate is involved with the St. John Paul II Newman Center. Following graduation, Kate hopes to apply her passion for patient care and innovation to the development of biomechanical and prosthetic technologies.
