Additional Information

Mary works as a CNA on the Medical and Surgical Oncology floor at Nebraska Medicine and regularly volunteers in their pediatric department. This past summer, she participated in UNMC's Summer Undergraduate Research Program, working in Dr. Sil's lab in the pharmacology and experimental neuroscience department and gaining experience in western blotting, qPCR, and immunohistostaining. At UNO, Mary serves as the administration director for Alpha Xi Delta and as the morale team chair for Dance Marathon. She's also a member of the Scott Scholars Leadership Council. Following graduation, Mary plans to attend medical school and is interested in the field of ophthalmology.
