Joey worked as an undergraduate research intern with NCITE this past summer. He has previous experience as a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern and partnered with the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo. Together, he and his team devised innovative solutions to improve membership retention. Joey has intermediate proficiency in Python and GitHub, basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, and basic-intermediate proficiency in Excel for business analytics. He's also highly skilled in data analysis/modeling and is familiar with tools like NumPy. At UNO, Joey is involved in Math Club and regularly attends meetings for NULLify, the student-led cybersecurity group on campus. After graduation, Joey aims to pursue a career in financial mathematics, such as actuarial sciences, or data analytics.
