Molly Shanahan

Molly continued her work as a CNA at Bergan Mercy this summer. Previously, she traveled to Saranac Lake, NY, to work as an undergraduate research intern at Trudeau Institute, a leading biomedical research center. Her work focused on improving the efficacy of the flu vaccine by testing different adjuvants and monitoring their immune cell responses. Molly also has experience as a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern, working with Nebraska Medicine to redesign their waiting room. At UNO, Molly is involved in Chemistry Club and volunteers as a STEM mentor at Kids Can Community Center. Following graduation, Molly plans to attend medical school and contribute to transformative research in healthcare.
