Aagya Sapkota

Aagya currently works as a CNA at Nebraska Medicine, where she previously worked as a medical scribe. This past summer, she was an undergraduate research intern at the Trudeau Institute in New York, where she investigated the role of rare tRNAs and RPLP1/2 proteins in dengue virus infection by manipulating host translational machinery. Aagya is an active member of her community, serving as the treasurer of Healing Hearts Project, an organization that she helped launch, coordinating budgeting and donation logistics. She is also co-president of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, a mentor at Kids Can Community Center, and a volunteer in the Nebraska Medicine NICU. Following graduation, Aagya plans to attend medical school to become a physician. She is passionate about ensuring equitable healthcare access and serving diverse communities.
