Additional Information

Neil is a 2025-2026 Innovation Ignited Fellow, a prestigious AI and automation program in partnership with MIT. This past summer, he worked with Dr. Magie Hall at UNO in collaboration with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Their work focused on training AI models with images to analyze damage to 55-gallon drums and creating a Python script to run the AI model. As a Scott Scholars Design Studio intern in the summer of 2024, Neil assisted in the formulation of a 5-year comprehensive action plan for the city of Valentine, NE to combat brain drain in rural communities. Neil is a certified AWS Cloud Practicioner, Scrum Master, and Scrum Product Owner. He is proficient in Python, HTML/CSS, Angular/Ionic, and JavaScript. He has intermediate skills in Image Preprocessing and Processing, and YOLO, as well as emerging skills in AWS Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure Open AI, and Azure Open AI Search Vectorization. At UNO, Neil is a part of NULLify, the university's cybersecurity club. Neil is also collaborating with his father on a startup called ClassroomSentry, which uses AI to detect armed assailants with the overall goal of increasing school security.
