Additional Information

This past year, Janny was an Innovation Ignited Fellow, a prestigious AI and automation experiential learning program in partnership with MIT. After completing a graduate-level online course at MIT, Janny worked with Union Pacific Railroad and focused on regression testing for their new AI chatbot. In the summer of 2024, Janny was a software development intern at Conagra Brands, where she helped develop an AI-powered application to streamline document retrieval and improve workflow. She was also part of the Apple Pathway Alliance, working on projects with Apple experts. Janny is proficient in Python, C, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and frameworks like Angular and Django. At UNO, she is involved with the Vietnamese Student Association as the ACCE program chair, overseeing their mentorship program to foster lasting connections, leadership skills, and cultural connectivity. For her Community Action Project, Janny and her team are partnered with Collective for Youth and are developing healthcare-related STEM kits for K-8 afterschool programs in the Omaha metro area. Following graduation, Janny aims to pursue a career in software development.
