Angelique Vargas

This past summer, Angelique worked at Bellevue Public Schools as a summer school teacher while continuing her role as a neurodiagnostic assistant at Nebraska Medicine. She currently tutors UHOP students as an Omaha Area Health Education Center (AHEC) intern and serves as a teaching assistant for the Department of Biology. At UNO, Angelique is an agency council member with the Women and Gender Equity Center, where she helps to provide resources to support gender equity on campus. Following graduation, she plans to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a pediatrician.
