Nebraska Business Development Center’s Professional Development program has been helping individuals and businesses since 1983. We are part of the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s College of Business Administration.

Who We Serve
In our public workshops, our students are diverse in background and in how we help them. We offer classroom and online workshops ranging from project management, leadership, continuous improvement, supply chain, emergency preparedness and business analysis. We help students learn new skills, advance their career, acquire continuing education units, and help them prepare for credentials.
Additionally, we work with agriculture, retail, manufacturers, professional services, government entities and nonprofits to help them improve their workforce and their organizations.
What We Do
Organizations often don’t have time to do the research to even figure out what they need to do in order to improve. Let alone what resources exist that could help them. We bring that all together. We listen and customize solutions. We help organizations put in measures to know if the effort was successful.
Our range of services is wide and deep. We offer a wide range of services:
- public classes with emphasis on being able to apply knowledge immediately
- contract classes fully customized by consulting with each customer
- continuous improvement classes and consulting
- salary studies
- coaching
- helping organizations develop – including helping them assess and plan around their competencies.
And because we can access university resources, we can go as deep as our customer’s need to go for a good solution.
