Proposed Amendments to the College Constitution and Governance Procedures Public Hearing Information

Topic: Proposed Amendments to the College Constitution and Governance Procedures Document
Date and Time: Wednesday, January 8, 1:00 PM–2:00 PM
Location: PKI, Room 250
In accordance with Section 1.2 of the NU Board of Regents’ Bylaws, any proposed changes to a college’s bylaws or governing documents must be reviewed through a public hearing to allow for input and feedback from the university community.
During the Fall 2025 business meeting, the faculty of the College of Information Science and Technology proposed amendments to the college constitution and the development of a governance procedures document. Amendments related to governance procedures, along with minor editorial revisions to the constitution, were approved by the faculty, with 69 percent of votes cast in favor.
The faculty vote was conducted in compliance with Article IV of the college constitution and Section 4 of the governance procedures. This public hearing is convened to present the proposed changes and to receive comments prior to final consideration.
