Dr. Baker investigates environmental politics in the Middle East and North Africa. In her current book project, she examines the politics of garbage, illustrating how authoritarian states seek to “sanitize” and depoliticize contentious issues like waste at sites of global environmental governance in the MENA region.Additional Information
