Biography

Joseph James, Ph.D., earned his Ph.D. in industrial organizational psychology in 2010 from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Dr. James is the principal consultant of Higher Up Consulting, LLC where he offers strategic talent management consulting services with a focus on small to mid-sized business and non-profit organizations. His love of higher education keeps him engaged in online teaching on a regular basis.

Joseph spent the first 10 years of his career in leadership and consulting roles within Fortune 500 companies where he led a variety of organizational assessment and development programs. He currently lives in eastern NC and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, serving his church and community, and playing modern board games.
