Outside the Classroom Learning

Involvement in student organizations can provide positive social interaction, community service opportunities, and valuable real-world experience.

NE STEM 4U - We are a student-run organization at the University of Nebraska Omaha that is committed to bringing quality, after-school science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities to disadvantaged elementary and middle school students within the Omaha Public Schools.

Environmental Club - ECUNO has been a powerful driving force behind many sustainable initiatives on campus, including but not limited to the adoption of campus-wide recycling and the Lug-A-Mug program in the Student Center cafeteria. We are currently pushing for a community garden on campus and compost bins in the cafeterias. This student-run organization was formed to make important environmental issues a priority here at UNO.

Pre-Health Professionals Club - The purpose of the organization is to provide members with a broad-spectrum idea of all areas of healthcare through weekly speakers.

Students United for Global Health - The goal of SUGH is to bring awareness of local and global health issues to UNO campus and actively fundraise and advocate for the development of healthcare in parts of the world that are most in need. SUGH is devoted to global health engagement and service.
