Research Interests

I primarily study how to restore grasslands and the consequences of restoration on biomass production, pollinators, carbon sequestration, and other ecosystem services.

One example of my research is examining how different types of animal grazing (e.g. cattle or bison) affects milkweed and monarch butterfly abundance.

Visit the Grassland Ecology Lab for more information about my research interests and opportunities for becoming involved in this research.

This professor is available for consultation regarding Sustainability topics.
