Research Interests

My research focuses on the ecology of wetlands in diverse climates across temperate and tropical regions. I incorporate hydrology, plant ecology, soil and water chemistry, and trace gas techniques to understand how wetlands work and how they are impacted by land use and climate change. I strive to have my research inform wetland management, policy, and restoration.
