As referenced in CAS Bylaws, Article XI, Section 2, “Approval of amendments,” in order to comply with 1.2 of the NU Board of Regents’ Bylaws, changes to any NU college’s bylaws must be vetted at a public hearing for input and feedback.
This is the last step needed to finalize the revisions to the College of Arts and Sciences’ Bylaws, which were approved by faculty vote back in April 2022 with 84% of the vote, in accordance with Article X, “Initial acceptance of Bylaws.”
Dean Bloom has set the public hearing regarding changes in the College of Arts and Sciences’ standing committee structure for Friday, July 22, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) in Arts and Sciences Hall, room 438.
