Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation

The Susan T. Buffett Foundation provides scholarships to first-time first-year students entering a Nebraska public university or college. The scholarship is renewable for up to 5-years based on meeting scholarship requirements.

The scholarship award is based on enrollment and can be applied to any part of the cost of attendance. The maximum amount for the award is based on enrollment hours. The maximum term awards can be found on the Susan T. Buffett Foundation website.

To maintain your scholarship at UNO, you must:

  • Maintain at least 9 credits per term
  • Achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 each term
  • Earn at least 1 credit hour each term
  • Acquire at least 18 credit hours in each academic year
  • Participate in all required learning community activities
