Getting Started in TLC

Each year the Buffett Foundation awards the Susan T. Buffett scholarship to many deserving Nebraska high school graduates. Scholarship recipients who decide to go to UNO are automatically members of the Thompson Learning Community (TLC).

TLC helps these new Thompson Scholars transition into college in several ways including:

  • Offering common courses
  • Upper-class mentors
  • Academic workshops
  • Social activities
  • TLC only study space
  • Free printing
  • Mid-term grade counseling
  • Distinguished faculty and staff to help Thompson Scholars succeed

For information on how to apply to UNO, please visit UNO Admissions.
