About Kelly

Strengths: WOO | Communication | Positivity | Developer | Connectedness

Kelly graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Secondary Education-English.  During her time there, involvement with the Student Alumni Association and her job as an Orientation Leader made her feel like she really mattered on campus.  When returning to campus, she makes sure to stop by the Alumni Association building and say hello to the staff who supported her so much!

Kelly’s career in education has always focused on supporting students in getting to and through college successfully.  She started off as a high school college counselor in Kansas City, MO.  She then returned to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue her Master’s Degree in Higher Education-Student Affairs.  Since then she’s worked in Academic Advising at the University of Colorado-Boulder and Leadership Development at Gonzaga University.  Kelly was excited to return home to Nebraska and join the Thompson Learning Community in September of 2020 to support our phenomenal students as they pursue their academic and career goals!
