The Title IX Office at UNO has developed resources for faculty and staff that will assist them in their work.
Quick Guide to Reporting
The University maintains that all individuals are expected to promptly report conduct that may violate the University’s Sexual Misconduct Policy to the University.
Although the University does not limit the time frame for reporting sexual misconduct to promote timely and effective review, the University strongly encourages individuals to report possible sexual misconduct within one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days of the last occurrence of the concerning conduct. A report made after one hundred and eighty (180) days may make it more difficult to gather relevant and reliable information.
In addition, all individuals are expected to report conduct that may also violate criminal law to both the Title IX Coordinator and the local law enforcement. These processes are not mutually exclusive and both may happen simultaneously or at different times.
If you have questions about your need to report, please direct them to the Title IX Coordinator at sseeba@unomaha.edu.
Syllabus Statements
The following statements have been created so that faculty have the most up-to-date language in their syllabi. Faculty are welcome and encouraged to copy/paste them into their syllabi.
Title IX (updated 11/07/2025)
UNO seeks to provide an environment that promotes equal opportunity free from discrimination and harassment. If you have experienced sexual misconduct (sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking, sexual exploitation, or sexual harassment) we encourage you to make a report. It is important to know that your instructor is expected to contact the Title IX Coordinator should you disclose that you have been the victim of sexual misconduct. Upon receiving a report, the Title IX Office will reach out to you with resources and reporting options. Students have access to resources on campus that are confidential, and they are encouraged to use them to the extent they may be useful. Any student who believes they may be the victim of sexual misconduct is encouraged to contact one or more of the following resources:

Pregnant and Parenting Students (updated 11/07/2025)
Students that are pregnant or parenting may request reasonable accommodations through university procedures. Requests for medically-related accommodations should be made through the Accessibility Services Center (ASC) by contacting them at 402.554.2872, or by emailing at unoaccessibility@unomaha.edu. ASC can also assist with medical supervision, which allows students to regain lost attendance points, makeup assignments, and exams that were missed during excused absences. For all other accommodations, or questions about pregnancy and parenting, please contact the Title IX Coordinator at 402.554.3985or by email to sseeba@unomaha.edu

Presentation to Classes
The Office of Civil Rights Compliance feels that education is an important component of creating a safe and welcoming environment at UNO. Staff is willing to present to classes, student groups, or departments regarding Title IX pr university non-discrimination policies.
Presentations can be tailored to specific topics, trends, or classroom content, and will be modified to fit the time allowance. If an instructor knows they will be absent from class one day, having our staff come in and present is a great alternative to canceling class that day.
For presentations or educational opportunities, please contact the Deputy Title IX Coordinator Catherine Link at catherinelink@unomaha.edu.
