  3. Internship Advisory Board

As Omaha’s premier public metropolitan university, UNO is committed to preparing learners for meaningful careers. Internships and other workplace-based learning are key components in fulfilling that mission.

The state of Nebraska recognized the importance of internships in preparing for and meeting the needs of the future workforce. The Internship Advisory Board’s mission is to provide strategic advice and industry perspectives to enhance internship programs at UNO, with a focus on student access, preparedness, and employer engagement.

The board acts as a vital connection between the university and employers, ensuring that students are well-prepared for internships that lead to meaningful career opportunities.

The Advisory Board will consist of UNO and community leadership developing strategies that enhance internship experiences for learners and employers.
