Bio
Jillian is from Lincoln, NE and is studying architectural engineering. Her leadership experience includes serving as treasurer for the Architectural Engineering Student Leadership and Advisory Committee (AESLAC). She is also a member of the student chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Nebraska Engineering Student Council of Omaha (NESCO), and Scott Scholar Leadership Council (SSLC).
Additionally, Jillian assessed issues faced by Prairie STEM’s Girls In STEAM program and facilitated discussions in leadership skills and mental health management with young women interested in the STEM field. She worked with a team of university scholars to organize a conference to introduce the STEM field to young women.
Further, Jillian has experience as a Mechanical Intern at Olsson in Omaha, NE. Through this role, she has collaborated with a team of experienced engineers and contributed an innovative perspective in the development of sophisticated building systems. She utilized Revit, AutoCAD, IESVE, and data spreadsheets to design these community-centered projects.
Her career interests include architectural engineering with an emphasis on mechanical design. In the future, she aspires to aid in the mechanical design process at a regional firm to positively develop her local community.
