Additional Information

Through the Scott Scholars Design Studio Internship this past summer, Brenden and his team partnered with Collective for Hope, a nonprofit that provides free grief support services. Together, they created a standard operating procedure (SOP) to improve the transition of participants into volunteer roles. They also designed social media templates using Canva to boost brand visibility and developed tabling materials to recruit new volunteers. To improve his technical skills, Brenden also collaborated on a smaller project to develop a hospital waiting room check-in tool app using VS Code and Xcode aimed at improving intake efficiency and reducing patient wait times at walk-in clinics. Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit, Brenden plans to pursue a master’s degree in electrical engineering to continue integrating technology, design, and problem-solving to make meaningful impact in his community.
