Kevin Thompson is an Innovation Business Consultant at the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC), where he helps innovators and entrepreneurs transform their ideas into successful ventures through the Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership program. With a unique blend of financial expertise and entrepreneurial experience, Kevin specializes in guiding startups through SBIR/STTR grant processes and strategic business development.
 
As a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional (CFP®) and co-founder of Art Attacks, Kevin brings an understanding of both traditional business frameworks and innovative startup methodologies. 
 
Kevin is deeply committed to strengthening Nebraska's entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is a long time member of the 1 Million Cups. As a Business and Professional Development adjunct instructor at Metropolitan Community College, he has developed and taught curriculum focused on professional networking. This combination of teaching, entrepreneurship, and financial expertise allows him to provide holistic guidance to Nebraska's emerging innovative businesses.
 
A graduate of the UNO with a degree in Business Administration, Kevin is a Maverick and is excited to be back on campus.
 
At NBDC, Kevin continues his mission of empowering entrepreneurs by connecting them with vital resources, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships that accelerate their path to success.
