Expertise and Consulting Area
Joe is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) office as well as providing assistance to ensure all open grants programs of the NBDC and CBA are being properly executed and reported upon.
He is a licensed attorney in Nebraska (active), and Iowa (inactive), with over twenty years of experience working in the government, non-profit, and private sectors with startups and established companies in legal matters as well as the areas of real estate, financial software, and lending.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Grinnell College, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law. In 2012, he received a Certificate in Private Capital Markets from the George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. In 2014, he was selected and participated in Creating Collaborative Solutions: Innovations in Governance at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2017 he was invited to teach Negotiations as an Adjunct Instructor at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He participated in the 43rd Annual Venture Capital Institute and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Executive Green Belt.
Academic Degrees
Lauber has twice studied in Germany: first at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg while an undergraduate and then at Universität Potsdam while completing his law studies.
