Benjamin Benton is the center director of America’s SBDC – Nebraska. His office is located on the campus of Wayne State College in Wayne, serving 30 counties in Northeast and North Central Nebraska. Prior to the Nebraska Business Development Center, he was employed at the City of Randolph as city administrator/clerk for four years. He has prior experience in the transportation industry, as a contract turkey grower, and a former member of the Rotary club in Siloam Springs, AR.

Benjamin and his wife Trisha have two daughters, Kaleigh & Alaina, and a son, Carson.

In addition to his work with NBDC, Benjamin is involved with various rural economic development & other organizations throughout the state currently serving on:

  • Wayne State College Professional Staff Senate Mentoring & Membership Committee Chair
  • Board of Directors of Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District, Inc.
  • Member and Treasurer of Partnership for Rural Nebraska – Northeast Region
  • Advisory Council Nebraska Recycling Council & Grants Committee
  • Heartland 2050 Solid Waste Working Group
