Emergency Management and Disaster Science develops skills in preventing, planning and preparing for, responding to, and recovering from large scale natural or man-made disasters and public events that require inter-agency and/or inter-jurisdictional involvement.

Emergency Management and Disaster Science is a division of the School of Public Administration in the College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS) and houses the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management.

The program also offers three undergraduate minors:

  • Emergency Management
  • Fire Service Management
  • Tribal Management and Emergency Services

A certificate in Tribal Management and Emergency Services is also available.

UNO's Division of Continuing Studies also offers a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Emergency Management. This option is geared toward the adult learner
