2022 Updates

All classrooms, student computer labs, and public computing areas have been updated with these versions of software. For a room list, see https://cist.unomaha.edu/classrooms.

Classrooms 260, 276, and 278: These rooms had new network cables installed for all computers between May 22nd and June 1st 2022.

Classroom 153: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning distance education/Zoom room.

Room 350: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning video conferencing/Zoom room.

2021 Updates

VPN: 07/01/2021 GlobalProtect/Prisma replaced Cisco as the official NU VPN.

SharePoint: 07/01/2021 Box was migrated for all users to the new SharePoint platform.

Network update: 05/22/2021 All network equipment, wired and wireless, was upgraded with new equipment. Aruba network equipment replaced Cisco as the official NU network vendor.

Classroom 259: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning distance education/Zoom room.

Classroom 279: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning distance education/Zoom room.

New Printers: 4/13/2021 New printers for faculty and staff have been installed. The new print queue is named IST-Printer.

2020 Updates

Classroom 161: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning distance education/Zoom room.

Classroom 361: This room was equipped with cameras and microphones, and now is a fully functioning distance education/Zoom room. We also added 5 student computers, increasing the total to 40.

Loki
Loki is officially out of service permanently. Odin has replaced it as the primary Linux server for IS&T programming classes as of 3/30/2020. Accounts are automatically generated for faculty and students that need to use the system. More information is here: cist.unomaha.edu/odin.
