Dr. Jose Santos
- Computer Science, Lecturer
Dr. Santos holds a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) from DeVry Institute of Technology [now DeVry University] (1998),a B.Sc. (double-major) in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2012), and obtained his Ph.D. also from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with specialization in Computer Engineering (2020). During his academic residency at UNL, he has thought courses ranging from Microprocessor Applications, Embedded Systems-focused C programming, Assembly Language Programming, PCB Design, and Mobile Robotics. He also was the lead software architect for the "CEENBoT-API", a C-programming library for UNL's highly-successful CEENBoT Mobile Robotics Platform v2.21, which was successfully used in the K-12 space as an outreach tool towards STEM fields (2011-2020). Dr. Santos has also worked as a Test Engineer for the Mixed-Signal Group at Linear Technology Corporation (now Analog Devices). Today, Dr. Santos is now a Lecturer of Computer Science courses at the College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and teaches systems-based courses which include C programming, Digital Design and Computer Organization, Communication Networks, Operating Systems, and Computer Architectures.
