Committee Charge

UNO Faculty Senate is a representative body of faculty members including representatives elected by the faculty of the College of Information Science & Technology. The Faculty Senate advises and consults with students, staff, and administrative groups on matters of general concern which include, but are not necessarily limited to, the budget, institutional planning, library and computer operations, student academic conduct in the classroom, and the selection of academic-administrative personnel.

The IS&T faculty have determined that each constituent unit of the college is to be represented by a senator, and is to be selected by the full faculty of the college.

Senators from IS&T will be elected by the college faculty each January or as required by the Faculty Senate. Elections are a two-step process including a nomination phase and a final selection phase.

Committee Meeting

Generally meets on the second Wednesday afternoons August through May.
