Each year, PDK invites local school boards and district leadership to attend this meeting. It is a time to learn together and connect with other leaders across the metro as well as honor the dedicated work of our School Boards and Leadership.
Although we are not meeting in-person at this time, we look forward to connecting with you at the Annual Board of Education Dinner in the future. We are hopeful that conditions will allow us all to gather this winter/spring 2021.
TBD - Stay Tuned
The mission of the Topics in Education Symposium (TIES) is to foster discussion, inspire innovation, and provide educators with a regional forum to disseminate research findings, share best practices, discuss current educational topics, and provide other innovative thinking and creative activities across all areas of education.
Although we are not meeting in-person at this time, we look forward to connecting with you at TIES in a new online platform later this year. Details are still being determined and we will keep you informed once finalized.
Showcase Teachers are annually selected by the local chapter of PDK to represent what is good and right in our current PK-12 classrooms. In years past at the face-to-face Nebraska Educators Rising Fall Conference, Showcase Teachers presented a classroom lesson several times to different groups of Ed Rising high school students. The purpose of the face-to-face Showcase lessons was to expose Ed Rising high school students to examples of high-quality, engaging, teaching and learning from a variety of subjects, levels, and Nebraska districts.
This fall 2020, instead of an in-person event, we have transitioned the 2020 PDK Showcase of Teaching to an asynchronous interview video series. Check our 2020 PDK Showcase of Teaching for Educators Rising Nebraska playlist or back here throughout 2020-2021 for updates from our Showcase Teachers!
