Robert W. Thomas Jr (B.S., Management Engineering Worcester Polytechnic Institute; M.S., Leadership and Human Resource Development, Naval Postgraduate School; M.S., Military Operational Art and Science, Air War College; M.S., Defense and Strategic Studies, Missouri State University) is the Director, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Strategy at Sierra Nevada Corporation.  He is responsible for developing NC3 capture strategies to support Department of Defense strategic deterrence capability requirements.  Previously, he worked in industry (Lockheed Martin Corporation) and as a member of the Air Force Senior Executive Service as a Director of Capability and Resource Management at both United States Space Command and United States Strategic Command.  He also worked for Omaha Public Power District as an Engineering Supervisor at the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station.  Robert retired from the United States Navy in 2014 after a 20-year career as a submarine officer.
