For Students Interested in Becoming Physical Therapists
This profession involves caring for patients with injuries and disabilities and creating treatment plans for better mobility, functional ability, and quality of life through physical intervention. Students are strongly encouraged to choose a major of interest and pursue that, alongside the pre-physical therapy curriculum. A strong foundation in biology, human physiology, anatomy and physics is required.
UNMC’s Physical Therapy program requires a bachelor’s degree, along with the prerequisites our college offers prior to applying. No grade below “C-” will be accepted. Please see UNMC’s course requirements.
Creighton’s Physical Therapy program requires a minimum of 90 credits, as well as the courses our college offers prior to applying. Preference is usually given to students who have received a bachelor’s degree. No grade below “C” will be accepted.

- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
