Biography
Cassie started working in higher education as a sociology instructor when she received her master's degree in 2015. Since then, she has been a peer reviewer and mentor for new online faculty, led numerous seminars on best online practices, and has spent a lot of time attending professional development opportunities to improve her knowledge.
Outside of work, she has two children, a husband, and two dogs that keep her busy.

Why UNO and Digital Learning
I am very happy to be in the role of instructional designer. I have always enjoyed creating the best possible courses for my students and I am excited to help instructors learn and implement effective teaching practices into their own courses.
Why UNO? I was a Maverick twice in my educational experience and I always enjoyed going to school here. In addition to being an alum, I am proud to be a part of a community that has taken a lot of steps to be an inclusive campus and make the campus a great experience for all individuals.
Interests and Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy home improvement projects, chasing my kids around, and sitting outside on my deck watching some type of sporting event.
