Graduate students.

According to CNBC, the mid-career salary of a Master’s in Economics graduate is $134,000. UNO’s STEM-designated Master’s in Economics degree prepares the student for careers in business/data analytics, banking, logistics, and many other fields. The quantitative and problem-solving skills learned in the program give our students a solid understanding of theory and empirical methods involved in all types of analysis. In addition, the program prepares students for Ph.D. programs in economics and related fields.

Our graduates are employed by area businesses (large and small), state and national government agencies, colleges and universities, and international businesses. Some of our graduates have joined competitive Ph.D. programs in economics, finance, supply chain, computer science, and JD law programs.

Luke Wagoner - Data Scientist

"The UNO graduate economics program helped me to develop my skill set, become highly competitive in the labor force and facilitate a career change. The professors taught economic principles and analytical and programming skills to apply those principles effectively in my business and personal life. Several of the course projects analyzed real-world problems which allowed me to build a portfolio of work to show potential employers. Plenty of networking opportunities were provided. Following my graduation I was able to secure the role I desired when entering the program within 6 months. Financially, the program has paid for itself very quickly."
