Alia Seoane

Bio

Alia Seoane is the Director of Communications at NCITE. A classically trained newspaper reporter, Seoane studied journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and wrote for newspapers across the country. She worked for nearly nine years at her hometown newspaper, the Omaha World-Herald, mostly covering breaking news, crime, courts, public safety, and law enforcement, but also education, immigration, and politics.

After the World-Herald, she worked as an editor at the analytics and advisory firm Gallup, teaming up with I-O psychologists to ensure reports and messaging were clear, accurate, and engaging.

Seoane is fluent in Spanish and has spent roughly four years of her life in Spain (not consecutively), including recently living one year in Vigo with her husband and two daughters. She is an avid Husker volleyball fan.
