The GASSW Graduate Assistant to the Graduate Program Chair is Karla Zavala, who is a first year MSW student. She is originally from Fremont, Nebraska and recently graduated from UNO with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) degree. Job duties include serving as a peer advisor to MSW students, assisting with Graduate Program committee work, assisting with Assessment Committee work, assisting with the Practicum Office, and planning events. In her free time, Karla enjoys spending time outdoors, biking, and collecting houseplants.
