Additional Information

Biographical Information

Jodi Gabel graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha Grace Abbott School of Social Work where she engaged in many research and evaluation activities.  She has been in higher education since 2006, serving as both a counselor/advisor for disadvantaged students in a rural community college setting, as well as an adjunct instructor for various 4-year colleges and universities, teaching primarily research and program evaluation.

Professional Interests

Jodi’s passions reach far and wide, but particular areas of interest include the utilization of research and program evaluation in social work practice, equity and equality in education, family and sexual violence, and the intersection of spirituality and social work.

Something Personal

Jodi enjoys building community through activities such as gardening, athletics, and youth activities.  Although she loves to travel and relishes the culture and amenities of the city, she cannot seem to shake her rural roots, living outside city limits with her growing family and flock of chickens.
