The Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (BIS) degree will provide the students with the educational background for pursuing an exciting career in applying computers in business and government to process data and solve a wide variety of business problems.

The computer is an important tool, which processes information for management decision-making. Managers can be more effective and efficient when assisted by computer-based information systems.

In Management Information Systems, we use information and communication technologies to solve problems. We understand how societies, organizations, people, and technology interact. Program Details

Students pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems will learn how the computer-based information systems can be applied to improve organizational operations and decision-making, enhance products and services, and create new opportunities for business success. The MIS core consists of a combination of technical and managerial courses.

Students may further specialize in an area of their choice, incorporating courses not only from the MIS program, but also from other programs in the college. In a capstone class, students work as a team to address a real problem for a real client within the community. Students wishing to pursue further education, engage in research, or master a particular topic may complete a thesis. Students may apply internships to their specialization.
