Student Awards and Scholarships

Every year, the School of Health and Kinesiology hosts a banquet to recognize the hard work and achievement of its students.

Although we did not host a banquet this year, a video and a list of our honorees are listed below.

The Helen B. Hewett Scholarship is an endowment shared by all three University of Nebraska campuses in memory of Helen B. Hewett. The scholarship is designated for undergraduates pursuing a Physical Education degree.

Wayne and Mary Claire Wagner and Family Endowed Athletic Training Scholarship

This scholarship honors the memory of Wayne Wagner, a long-time athletic trainer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, serving as an athletic trainer and assistant professor for over 17 years.
